Soundproofing a Boat's Engine Compartment

The owner of the boat wanted to block out the noise of the huge powered engine. We anaylized the situation together and found out the most effective way to block out those noises.

We used Second Skin's Damplifier Pro on the 1st layer, Luxury Liner Pro for the 2nd layer and Spectrum Sludge for the 3rd layer. We also used Heatwave Pro on some areas which was closest to the engine to dissipate some heat.

Here are some of the pictures on how it was done.

    1. Well Tom, you should get some Sound Deadener for your truck soon.. Try SecondSkin. ;)

And yeah, this boat was so much quieter for we used Second Skin's sound proofing materials on it. Everyone was pleased with this project.

  2. The earphones themselves are hard aluminium, the type which could kill if fired from a revolver.
